Cleveland State Announces Schedule

Schedule

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State Athletics has announced its men's soccer schedule for the 2021 spring semester. In order to participate in the 2021 spring season, all Horizon League institutions have agreed to follow rigorous league-mandated safety protocols related to COVID-19.

Horizon League schools will play a complete round-robin schedule with every league school scheduled to play each other once in the regular season. The league schedule sees each school slated for 10 matches over 11 dates of competition with each school having one bye week. The opening day of the men's soccer season is set for Thursday, Feb. 4, with Cleveland State welcoming Green Bay as one of five HL matches that day. Matches will continue to be held every sixth calendar day until the regular season concludes Monday, April 5.

While contesting a conference-only schedule this spring, Cleveland State will have five matches at home and five on the road. In addition to Green Bay, CSU will host Detroit Mercy (Feb. 16), Northern Kentucky (Feb. 28), Purdue Fort Wayne (March 12) and IUPUI (April 5). The Vikings will travel to Robert Morris (Feb. 10), Wright State (Feb. 22), Milwaukee (March 6), Oakland (March 18) and UIC (March 24).

Horizon League championship information, including dates and format, will be announced once finalized. Game times will be updated on the men's soccer schedule on csuvikings.com once determined.

Due to the conditions created by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Cleveland State will begin the season with no spectators. CSU will work with local health officials to evaluate future spectator plans should those factors significantly improve.

All dates/opponents on the men's soccer schedule are subject to change.
