2016 – FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in 12 matches in his debut season … Started 11 contests between the pipes, including each of the final seven of the season … Led Horizon League and ranked fifth nationally in save percentage (.848), the best mark by a freshman in Division I … Was among top 30 nationally in saves per match and averaged a League-leading 5.5/match in League contests … Helped Cleveland State allow the fewest goals in the Horizon League … Played over 1,034 minutes in net and allowed 10 goals on the year while making 56 saves … Ranked second in the League in goals against average (0.87) … Made a season-high 10 saves vs. Bowling Green (9/7) and vs. Oakland (10/29) … Posted seven saves while registering his first collegiate shutout, a 110-minute effort at Northern Kentucky (10/8) … Finished with four shutouts in the team’s final six games of the season … Had a shutout streak of 369:31 from Oct. 4 – Oct. 22 … Named the League’s Defensive Player of the Week (10/31) after posting a 10-save shutout against Oakland … Became the first Viking freshman to win a HL weekly honor in nine years … Made his collegiate debut, and earned his first victory, when he started at Robert Morris (8/28).
