The Game
Following three straight road games to open the 2024 season, the Vikings finally get inside the Krenzler Bubble tomorrow at noon against High Point.

Last Game Out
Cleveland State was defeated by the reigning national champion and the top team in the country, Notre Dame, 25-3 on Feb. 14.

About High Point
The Panthers are 3-1 overall and receiving votes in the most recent NCAA Top 20 Poll. High Point has won two straight, with their only setback being against No. 2 Duke at home on Feb. 10 by a score of 21-9.

Brayden Mayea leads the attack with 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points, while Jack VanOverbeke is the top assist man with 12. Collin Hoben is 43-of-74 in the faceoff circle with 28 ground balls. Zach Overend has started every game in goal, making 33 saves. 

Series History
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two programs.

The Numbers

• 15-31 under coach German in his five seasons.
• 5-25 all-time in February and 2-12 under coach German.
• 2-5 in home openers and 2-2 under coach German.

Home Opener
This will be the second-latest home opener in program history, with the latest coming on April 3, 2021, against VMI, a game in which the Green and White won 16-4. Cleveland State has yet to win back-to-back home openers but will look to do so tomorrow after beating Canisius last season, 18-12.

Captains of the Team
The Vikings named Amiri Austin, Karson Burkey, Grayson Dague, Lane Miller, Reggie Regala, and Charlie Williams as captains for the upcoming 2024 season.

ASUN Poll
The Green and White were chosen to finish seventh for the second straight season in the preseason poll. Utah took the No. 1 spot after receiving nine first-place votes for 99 points. Jacksonville was second with 82 points and Air Force was third with a first-place vote and 80 points.

NEC in 2025
This will be the final season in the ASUN for Cleveland State before moving over to the NEC for the 2025 season. The Vikings will be one of four affiliated members of the seven-team NEC lacrosse conference, as the Green and White will be joined by fellow Horizon League members Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris. VMI is the fourth affiliated member and the other teams in the conference include core members, Le Moyne, LIU, and Wagner.

2024 Cleveland State Men's Lacrosse Tickets
Season tickets for all six home games for the 2024 slate are now on sale for $30 per ticket. Single-game tickets will begin in February with prices set at $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for children 12 and under.
