Cleveland State dropped their second straight ASUN game to No. 10 Jacksonville on Wednesday by a final of 14-12. Amiri Austin and Xander Johnson each finished with three goals, while Cameron Logan made 19 saves in the cage.
Series History
This will be the sixth meeting all-time between these two teams, with Air Force holding a 3-2 advantage. However, this will be the first time that the Falcons have played in Cleveland. Last season, the Vikings fell on the road, 12-8.
About the Falcons
Air Force is coming off an 18-11 setback at home against Utah on Wednesday afternoon and is 6-4 overall and 3-1 in ASUN games. The Falcons are led by Brandon Dodd with 26 goals and 14 assists for 40 points. Ethan Grandolfo is right behind with 19 goals and seven assists. Chris Bardak is tops in ground balls with 32. Jason Rose has started every game and has made 106 saves.
ASUN Preseason Poll
Cleveland State was selected to finish seventh in the ASUN after receiving 38 points. Utah topped the poll with 92 points, Jacksonville was second with 90 points, and Robert Morris came in third with 85 points.
ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team
Matthews, a sophomore from Eagle, Idaho, was named to the preseason team as a midfielder.
