Opening Faceoff
The Vikings host Utah on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the first-ever ASUN home game inside the Krenzler Bubble.

Learning the ASUN
The Vikings were picked to finish sixth in their inaugural season in the ASUN. Air Force and Utah are the co-favorites to win the regular-season championship with Robert Morris picked third. Cleveland State has faced four of the five teams in the ASUN under German; Bellarmine: (2-1), Air Force (1-0), Robert Morris (0-1), and Utah (0-1).

About the Utes
Utah is 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the ASUN and are currently receiving votes in both the Inside Lacrosse Media and USILA Coaches Polls. The Utes are tops in the country in clearing percentage at 93 percent and are tops in the ASUN in clearing percentage (93%), scoring defense (11.38), and turnovers per game (16). In the ASUN opener, Utah defeated Air Force 10-8. The Utes have tallied 101 goals on the year with Jordan Hyde pacing the way with 21. Tyler Bradbury has a team-best 13 assists while Cole Brams is 107-of-202 in the faceoff circle with 48 ground balls. On defense, Samuel Cambere has forced 17 turnovers and Zion Dechesere has made 64 saves.

Series History
This will be the third meeting all-time between these two teams with each team winning on the road. Last season in Cleveland, Utah came away with an 11-9 victory and in 2019, CSU won 17-8.

Last Game Out
Cleveland State fell in their conference opener at Bellarmine 15-11 on Saturday. Jason Sullivan scored the first-ever goal in conference play. Four Vikings finished with multiple goals; Derek Radke, Ryan Haigh, Adam Clark, and Sullivan. Cameron Logan made eight saves in goal.

Record Watch
Ryan Haigh has 23 goals on the year, three short of tying Tristan Hanna's record of 26 during the 2019 season.
