Opening Faceoff
Cleveland State will play their first of three straight road games on Saturday when they visit No. 17 Michigan for a 1 p.m. contest. The game will be the first outdoor contest of the season for the Green and White.

About the Wolverine
Michigan enters the game with a 4-0 record, their best start since 2017. The Wolverine offense ranks No. 1 in the country in goals-per-game, while the defensive unit is ranked fourth nationally. Michigan enters week four of the season ranked No. 17 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and No. 16 in the USILA Coaches Poll. In their last outing on Tuesday at home, UM scored a program-record 23 goals in their 23-10 victory over Canisius. Josh Zawada led the way with a program-best seven goals and added three assists for 10 points. On the year, Zawada paces the offense on the year with 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points. Nick Rowlett has picked up a team-best 24 ground balls and is 47-of-77 in the faceoff circle.

Last Game Out
The Vikings dropped their home opener to Mercer on Feb. 19, 11-9, after leading the Bears 6-4 at the half. Gannon Matthews recorded his first hat-trick of the season and Jason Sullivan dished out a game-best four assists. Cameron Logan made 11 saves in goal.

Series History
Michigan has won the previous four meetings with the last coming in 2020 that saw the Wolverine win 16-9 in Ann Arbor. All-time, UM has outscored the Vikings, 54-30.

Helping Hand
Jason Sullivan is in a three-way tie atop the ASUN for assists with seven. The Preseason Fan Vote Player of the Year opened with three helpers against Ohio State and then picked up four more in the home opener against Mercer. Sullivan is now second all-time in Viking history with 33 assists, 19 shy of the program record of 62 by Michael Wilson.

ASUN Preseason Poll
The Vikings were picked to finish sixth in their inaugural season in the ASUN. Air Force and Utah are the co-favorites to win the regular-season championship with Robert Morris picked third. Cleveland State has faced four of the five teams in the ASUN under German; Bellarmine: (2-1), Air Force (1-0), Robert Morris (0-1), and Utah (0-1).
