ATLANTA, Ga. – The ASUN Conference released its 2022 Lacrosse Preseason Poll Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State tabbed to finish sixth in their inaugural season in the conference.
Cleveland State will be one of six charter members of ASUN men's lacrosse, as the Vikings will be joined by fellow Horizon League members Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris, in addition to Air Force, Bellarmine, and Utah.
The winner of the ASUN Conference will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament beginning in 2022.

ASUN FAN POLL
The ASUN took to social media to poll the fans for the conference preseason superlative awards. The Vikings brought home two of the three awards.
Jason Sullivan was named the Fan-Voted Preseason Player of the Year. Sullivan started all 10 games last season for the Vikings, leading them in assists with 11. He also added six goals for 17 points on the year. The senior has played in 36 career games, scoring 19 goals to go along with 26 assists. In addition, he has picked up 18 ground balls.
Nick Polydoras was tabbed the Fan-Voted Preseason Midfielder of the Year. Polydoras played in all 10 games last season with four starts. He scored 10 goals and added an assist for 11 points, while also picking up 10 ground balls and causing five turnovers. The senior has appeared in 32 games with 15 starts, scoring 28 goals to go along with nine assists for 37 points.
2022 CLEVELAND STATE OUTLOOK
Cleveland State will be under the direction of head coach Andy German, who is in his third season with the Vikings. The Green and White are 5-12 under German and are coming off a 3-7 campaign.
The Vikings have faced four of the five teams in the ASUN under German; Bellarmine: (2-1), Air Force (1-0), Robert Morris (0-1), and Utah (0-1).
2022 CLEVELAND STATE LACROSSE SCHEDULE
The Vikings will begin the 2022 season at Ohio State on Saturday, February 12 at 12 p.m. and then host Mercer in their home opener on Saturday, February 19 at 11 a.m.
The program's first-ever ASUN game will be at Bellarmine on Saturday, April 2 at noon and the first ASUN home game will be the following Saturday, April 9 against Utah at 12 p.m.
2022 CLEVELAND STATE LACROSSE TICKETS
Season tickets for all five home games for the 2022 slate are now on sale for $50 per ticket. Single-game tickets will begin in February with prices set at $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under.
