CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State men's lacrosse head coach Andy German announced the 2022 schedule Tuesday afternoon, featuring a 13-game schedule with five of those contests being played at home.
The Vikings will begin the season with a home scrimmage against Mercyhurst on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. Following their lone scrimmage, Cleveland State will hit the road for its first official game of the 2022 season, facing Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 12 p.m.
Cleveland State then faces Mercer in their home opener on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. The Green and White head out for three road games before welcoming St. Bonaventure to Krenzler Field on Saturday, Mar. 13 at 12 p.m.
After traveling to Hampton, the following weekend, Cleveland State closes out the month with a home game against VMI on Saturday, Mar. 26 at noon.
The programs first-ever ASUN game will be at Bellarmine on Saturday, April 2 at noon and the first ASUN home game will be the following Saturday, April 9 against Utah at 12 p.m.
Following back-to-back road games, the Vikings close out the regular season at home against Robert Morris at 12 p.m.
The ASUN tournament is set for May 6-8 in Huntsville, Alabama, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
This will be the first time that the Cleveland State lacrosse program has had a conference affiliation, as the Vikings have competed as an independent since their debut season in 2017. Cleveland State will be one of six charter members of ASUN men's lacrosse, as the Vikings will be joined by fellow Horizon League members Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris, in addition to Air Force, Bellarmine, and Utah.

Season tickets for all five home games for the 2022 slate are now on sale for $50 per ticket. Single-game tickets will begin in February with prices set at $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under.
