Cleveland State topped Detroit Mercy in its season finale April 24 to conclude its third season of existence with a winning record. That achievement came nearly two years to the day after the program claimed its first win over a Division I opponent. After netting a single DI win in 2017, the Vikings tallied eight wins in 2019 while facing a schedule that featured six top-25 opponents.
