OFF AND RUNNING
The Cleveland State University lacrosse team plays its road finale in the westernmost outpost of Division I lacrosse. A win by the Vikings at Utah would push their winning percentage back to .500. 

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Utah has made the most of its inaugural NCAA season, after transitioning from club status, as it owns four wins on the season. The Utes' best win was a 6-5 triumph at Air Force, a squad earning votes in the national polls. Josh Stout ranks among the top 15 in DI with his 37 goals while James Sexton has 33 points and is shooting 44.4% on the season. Utah ranks among the top 15 nationally in saves per game, led by Liam Donnelly in the cage. 

HANNA'S HAT TRICKS
Tristan Hanna has notched hat tricks in seven of the past 11 games after having three tallies last time out. He has 23 goals and seven assists in this stretch after having a single point in the first two games. Hanna netted a career-best six points, including a new high three assists, in CSU's April 6 win. Earlier this season Hanna became the first Viking with three straight hat tricks. 

FIRST TO SEVENTY FIVE
Michael Wilson has 32 points in his past eight games, including a school record eight March 12 at Lafayette. He posted a CSU record six assists vs. the Leopards while reaching a half dozen points for the fourth time in the past calendar year. Wilson's three points April 13 made him the first Viking to reach 75 career points. 

FIVE STRAIGHT SCORES (OR MORE)
Cleveland State has reeled off a run of 5+ goals in six of its past 12 games. CSU's 6-0 run vs. Michigan represented the most consecutive goals scored by the Vikings against a nationally ranked opponent. CSU has posted at least five straight goals in wins over Bellarmine, Mercer, Marquette, Canisius and St. Bonaventure. The Vikings posted 13 straight goals in the win over Canisius and 10 consecutive in the victory over the Bonnies. 

(NOT) CLEAR SAILING
CSU has often forced its opponents into failed clears this season. The Vikings' foes are just 218-for-305 on clears this season with the 71.5% mark sitting well below the DI median of 83.3%. No Viking opponent has cleared above 83.3% since the season opener. Each of CSU's last three opponents have cleared below a 68% mark.

LAST WE MET
This will be the first meeting between these programs as 2019 is Utah's first NCAA season of competition.

NEW TERRITORY
With its win April 6 vs. St. Bonaventure, Cleveland State secured its sixth win of 2019, a new high for the young program. The Vikings had four wins last season and had five wins in 2017, one of the Division I variety.

THE MAN ON MAN UP
Nick Polydoras has scored six of CSU's last nine man-up goals, a stretch spanning five games. Polydoras' half-dozen tallies in this span are the most man-up goals a Viking has scored in a season.

CAN YOU ASSIST ME?
In its April 6 win over St. Bonaventure, 14 of the 18 Cleveland State goals were assisted. The 14 assists represented a new standard for the program. Cleveland State had 13 assists in its wins over Bellarmine and Canisius earlier this season. In its first two games, CSU assisted 35.3% of its goals. In the last 11 games, the Vikings have assisted 70.9% of their goals.

QUICK STRIKE VIKES
In 17 of its past 28 games, CSU has scored within 15 seconds of a faceoff while in 23 of the past 29, the Vikings have scored within 25 seconds of a faceoff. In 32 of the 41 games Cleveland State has ever played, the Vikings have scored within 30 seconds of a faceoff.

SPREAD THE WEALTH
Cleveland State had a variety of offensive contributors in its two wins this month. Eleven different Vikings scored in both games, CSU's highest such figure against a DI foe. Cleveland State also had 15 players collect at least one point in each game, a new program record.

BOOST OFF THE BENCH
Cleveland State has had a significant advantage over its opponents in getting scoring off its bench this season. CSU has 68 goals by its non-starters this season compared to just 29 by its opponents. The Viking reserves have been outscored by their counterparts in just two games this season.

SKY HIGH
Skylar Jimenez had a strong game last time out, causing four turnovers and registering three ground balls. In doing so, he reached 15 CT for the season, the first Viking to ever hit that mark. Jimenez also owns 33 caused turnovers in his career, the most by any Viking.

OHIO IS OUR HOME
Cleveland State has 12 Ohio natives on its roster, the most of any Division I program. They hail from throughout the state, with three from northeast Ohio, three from northwest Ohio, four from the Columbus area and two from southwest Ohio. In CSU's incoming recruiting class this fall, the program will add six more players from Ohio.
