MOREHEAD, Ky. - Cleveland State saved its best showing of the fall for last, putting together rounds of 292 and 288 to stand in third place at the Rex Chaney Eagle Classic. Morehead State is hosting the eight-team event at the par 72, 6,902 yard Eagle Trace GC.

The host Eagles lead at seven-under par (569), seven shots clear of Southern Illinois while the Vikings checked in at 580.

Morehead State's Matt Gann leads the field at six-under par (138), while CSU senior Ben Grandy is tied with Southern Illinois' Andrew Gwinup for second place at 142. Freshman Kyle Cobb fired a season-best 68 in the second round to move into a tie for fourth place at 143, while sophomore Jake Scott joined his teammates in the top ten, tying for ninth at 145.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
