HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The wintry conditions in northeast Ohio made their way to West Virginia on Friday evening, delaying the finish of the second round of the Marshall Invitational. The Vikings, who stood in 13th after the opening round, have three holes remaining to complete their second round.

Ball State leads the 16-team field at 282, three strokes ahead of Penn State. There is a four-way logjam for third place at 290, while the Vikings checked in at 298 at the par 71, 6,476-yard Guyan Golf & Country Club.

Marquette's Mike Van Sickle and Penn State's Kevin Foley are tied for the individual lead at 68 -- a shot clear of four players tied for third. Sophomore Jake Scott paced CSU with a 71 to stand in a tie for 10th.

"A few little things here and there were the difference between us being in the top five and where we ended up," CSU head coach Brian Varsey said. "The conditions will be cold and tough, but I feel like we have a good chance to move up if we can get the rest of the tournament in."

The teams will attempt to complete the end of the second round as well as the final 18 holes on Saturday, weather permitting.
