Vikings Finish 13th at Rio Pinar Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. - Sophomore Andrew Bailey fired a final round even-par 72 and tied for 21st place at the UCF Rio Pinar Invitational on Tuesday at the par-72 Rio Pinar G.C.

The Vikings shot a final round 300 and finished 13th in the 15 team field with a 54-hole total of 898 (295-303-300).

Bailey finished the two-day event at one-over-par 217 (69-76-72), making 11 birdies in the tournament. He was also among the tournament leaders on the par five scoring, playing the holes in three-under-par.

Jon Riemer shot a final round 75 and tied for 50th place overall (77-73-75 - 225).

"Overall, I thought we had a successful trip down to Florida," head coach Steve Weir said. "We were able to work on some things and come together as a team. It will be nice to get back home and get ready for our next tournament as we continue to improve and look toward the league championship."

CSU is back in action next week when the Vikings take part in the Butler Spring Invitational on March 26-27.
