Cleveland State Men’s Golf Posts T-5 Finish at NKU Jewell Invitational

Batavia, OH-The Cleveland State men's golf team wrapped up its second tournament in a week's time as the Vikings finished tied for fifth in the Jewell Invitational hosted by Northern Kentucky. Cleveland State carded a final round 15-over par 299 to finish tied with Southern Indiana at 22-over par for the three-round event. Wright State won the event with a team score of 6-under par.

Mason Frazier posted his highest finish of the season as he closed at 4-over par in a tie for 14th. Frazier posted a 4-over 75 in the final round.

Dillon Pendergast and Andrew Kaye each finished in a tie for 28th at 7-over par for the tournament. Pendergast carded three birdies in the low round of the day for the Vikings as he posted a 1-over 72 in the final round. Kaye closed with a 5-over 76 on Sunday.

Brody Simms finished tied for 41st at 10-over. Simms finished with a 78 in the final round. Dominik Cosic posted a final round 76 and ended the tournament at 13-over par in a tie for 47th.

The Vikings are back in action next week at the Wright State Invitational scheduled for April 14-15. This marks the final tune-up before the Horizon League Championship scheduled for April 20-22 in Orlando, FL.
