Cleveland State Men’s Golf Set to Compete at Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational

Indianapolis, IN-The Cleveland State men's golf team hits the road to Indianapolis to compete at the Don Benbow Spring Invitational hosted by Butler University scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The tournament consists of 54 holes with two rounds scheduled for Monday and the final round on Tuesday.

Cleveland State is one of 14 teams in the field and will compete alongside fellow Horizon League foes Detroit Mercy, IUPUI, Purdue Fort Wayne, Green Bay, Oakland and Youngstown State. The Vikings are making a return trip to the event after finishing fourth last year. 

Brody Simms comes into the week with momentum after finishing tied for fourth in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate two weeks ago. Simms picked up his first Horizon League weekly award earning Co-Men's Player of the Week honors after his top-five finish. 

Simms is joined in the lineup by Andrew Kaye, Mason Frazier, Dillon Pendergast and Alex Anderson. Dominik Cosic and Ben Scheeff will tee it up as individuals. 

The tournament will be contested at Highlands Golf and Country Club. The course measures 6,551 yards and will play to a par of 70 for the event. Action begins on both days with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. 

Live scoring will be available on Golf Genius throughout the event. To access the live scoring, all users will need to enter the code BENBOW24 to follow the live results.
