Seiverville, KY-The Cleveland State men's golf team posted another solid showing at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The Vikings finished with a 20-over par 304 in the second round to sit in fifth place at 31-over in the team standings. Belmont leads the tournament at 9-over par through the first two rounds.
Andrew Kaye had the low round of the day for the Vikings, firing a 2-over par 73 which was a four-shot improvement over his first round score. Kaye had one birdie on each side in posting a 37 on the front and a 36 on the back. Kaye sits at 8-over for the tournament in a tie for 27th.
Brody Simms carries the low two-round total for the Vikings as he posted a second round 6-over 77 to finish the second day in a tie for 19th at 6-over par for the tournament.
Mason Frazier is one shot back of Simms at 7-over for the tournament. Frazier posted a 5-over 76 on day two which included two birdies on the front nine.
Dillon Pendergast is tied for 43rd at 12-over par and Alex Anderson is tied for 67th at 16-over through two rounds. Pendergast posted a 78 in round two while Anderson posted an 81.
Playing as individuals, Dominik Cosic is tied for 38th at 11-over par and Ben Scheeff is tied for 60th at 15-over.
The third and final round begins tomorrow with tee times off split tees starting at 10:00 a.m.
