Cleveland State Men’s Golf Finishes 17th at Virtues Intercollegiate

Nashport, OH-The Cleveland State men's golf team finished its second event of the fall season with a 17th place finish at the Virtues Intercollegiate at the Virtues Golf Club. The Vikings finished at 25-over par for the three-round event. 

Andrew Kaye finished under par for the second consecutive tournament, finishing at 1-under in a tie for 23rd place. Kaye carded a 1-over 73 in the final round. The Vikings started off on the back nine and Kaye started his round hot, as he made three birdies in his first six holes. 

Brody Simms posted a 2-over 74 to finish at 1-over par for the tournament. Simms finished in a tie for 31st place in the individual standings. 

Mason Frazier finished in a tie for 57th place at 8-over par. Frazier carded a final round 4-over 76 on Tuesday. In addition, Ben Scheeff finished in 82nd place at 18-over par and Dillon Pendergast finished in 87th place at 24-over. Scheeff and Pendergast were both competing in their second collegiate event. 

The Vikings return home to host the third annual Tom Tontimonia Invitational at Lakewood Country Club, scheduled for October 2-3.
