Cleveland, OH-Andrew Kaye has landed a spot on the Horizon League Men's Golf All-Academic Team, the league office announced today. Kaye is one of three individuals from the Cleveland State golf program to earn all-academic recognition.
To qualify, individuals must finish with at least a 3.20 GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of team competitions throughout the season. Each individual must have completed at least one year at the institution prior to the start of the season.
Kaye carries a 3.97 GPA as a finance major. He has been named to the Horizon League's Academic Honor Roll the last two semesters. In addition, he was named to the President's List following the fall semester.
On the course, he registered a 74.6 scoring average and three top-20 finishes this season. His best finish was a tie for fifth at the Wright State Invitational on April 17th. He finished tied for 21st at the Horizon League Championship.
This marks the first Horizon League All-Academic award for Kaye, a Junior from Avon Lake, Ohio.
