Batavia, OH-The Cleveland State men's golf team finished fifth in the Jewell Invitational hosted by Northern Kentucky at Elks Run Golf Club. The Vikings finished at 15-over par for the three-round event. Host Northern Kentucky won the event with a 4-under total. 

Two Vikings finished the week with top-10 finishes, as Jack Hanus and David Laib each finished tied for 7^th with even par totals. Laib had the low round of the day for the Vikings with a 2-under 69. He carded a 3-under 33 on the front nine with three birdies. Hanus closed with a 4-over 75. 

Alex Anderson finished in a tie for 36^th place at 9-over for the tournament. Anderson capped his week with a 7-over par round of 78. 

Brody Simms finished in a tie for 48^th place at 12-over par. Rounding out the Viking lineup, Andrew Kaye finished in a tie for 64^th at 18-over. Mason Frazier, playing as an individual, finished tied for 57^th at 15-over par. 

The Vikings will next compete at the Wright State Invitational, scheduled for Sunday and Monday April 16^th and 17^th in their final tune up before the Horizon League Championship at the end of the month.
