Cleveland State Men’s Golf Returns To Action At Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's golf team will return to action with its second event of the 2022 fall campaign this week, participating in the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite.

The 54-hole tournament will take place on Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13 at the Guyan Golf & Country Club. The field will play 36 holes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, while the final round will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.

Cleveland State will be one of 15 teams competing, including Horizon League members Northern Kentucky, Purdue Fort Wayne and Youngstown State.

The Vikings' lineup for the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite will be Gunnar McCollins, Andrew Kaye, Jack Hanus, Brody Simms, and Alex Anderson, while David Laib will compete as an individual.

Earlier this month, the Vikings opened their 2022 season at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, with Laib pacing the Vikings with a T15 finish.

Through the first three rounds of the 2022-23 campaign, Laib owns a 72.6 scoring average, while Jonny Filler has a 75.6 scoring average and McCollins owns a 75.3 scoring average.
