Men’s Golf sits in fifth after first two days of Horizon League Championships

DAY TWO RESULTS AND FINAL ROUND LIVE SCORING

 

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Cleveland State men's golf program ranked fifth overall after the second round of the 2022 Horizon League Championships, played at the Mission Inn Resort & Club on Monday.

The Vikings recorded a 14-over as a unit on the second day of the event, which pushed its two-day performance to 26-over. CSU ranks fifth at the tournament with 22 birdies and fourth with 106 holes of par.

The Vikes, who will look to improve their standings in the final round, sit four strokes back of Northern Kentucky (+22) for fourth.

Individually, Zach Robbins paced the group and sits in a tie for 11th at 2-over. He shot an even-par for the second round, which included two birdies and 14 pars. Robbins improved five spots with the strong showing. He is third overall at the championship with 25 pars and tied for 18th with five birdies.

Jack Hanus trailed just behind and he too jumped up 14 spots from day one to claim a tie for 19th at 6-over. Hanus knocked in two birdies and had 14 holes of par on the second round to move into the top-20. He is tied for fourth overall at the tournament with 24 pars.

Jules Blakely (9-over), Zak Supelak (12-over) and Gunnar McCollins (15-over) rounded out the scoring attack for the Vikings in ties for 27th, 32nd and 39th, respectively.

Cleveland State fans and supporters will be able to follow along with the live results of the final day of the Horizon League Championships here. The final round of the championship will tee off at 7:30 AM on Tuesday morning.
