Men’s Golf tied for fourth after opening round of Horizon League Championship

DAY ONE RESULTS AND DAY TWO LIVE SCORING

 

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Cleveland State men's golf team played to a tie for fourth overall after the opening round of the 2022 Horizon League Championships at the Mission Inn Resort & Club on Sunday.

The Vikings posted a 12-over performance and slotted three student-athletes into the top-20 of the competition. As a unit, Cleveland State racked up 16 birdies, tied for second-most made at the tournament.

CSU was led by the trio of Jules Blakely (tied for 12th), Zach Robbins (tied for 16th) and Gunnar McCollins (tied for 20th) as the three finished at 1-over, 2-over and 3-over, respectively. The three combined for 10 birdies on the opening day of play.

Jack Hanus and Zak Supelak made up the rest of the scoring for the Vikes as the two finished in a tie for 33rd at 6-over.
