Men’s Golf adds Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate to Spring schedule

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland State men's golf team will get a chance to head to warmer weather in the South once again early in the Spring season as the Vikings added Tennessee Tech's Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate to the slate.

The three-round event will begin on Sunday, March 13 and runs through Tuesday, March 15 at the Sevierville Golf Club on its River Course in Sevierville, Tenn.

The field of 90-plus student-athletes will take to a shotgun start and play one round on each day, and consists of 15-plus teams, making it the largest field the tournament has fielded in its history.

Programs competing at the event include Butler, Detroit Mercy, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky and Wright State, amongst others.

The River Course, recently recognized by Golf Advisor as one of the top 50 U.S. courses, plays at par-72 and lays across the Little Pigeon River.

CSU is coming off a solid showing at the Orlando Invitational where the Vikes placed four student-athletes in the Top-27 to take sixth-place overall as a team.
