DAVIDSON, N.C. – Gunnar McCollins shot rounds of 75-73 and is tied for 21^st, and Jonny Filler and Zach Robbins each earned 2-round totals of 150 to lead Cleveland State on day one of the River Run Collegiate Event on Monday at the River Run Country Club.

DAY ONE RECAP

McCollins began day one with a three-over par round of 75 and rose 11 spots in the medalist chase with his one-over par second round of 73. The junior ended day one in 21^st in the individual standings.

Filler and Robbins earned respective scores of 77-73 and 73-77 and finished day one with aggregate scores of 150 and are each tied for 29^th in the standings.

Led by McCollins, Filler, and Robbins, the Vikings ended the first day tied in 10^th in the team standings with a score of 300-301, good for a total of 601. Charlotte leads the team standings with a seven-under par score of 569, and Matt Sharpstene of Charlotte is the frontrunner among individuals with a day one score of 67-71.

Seniors Jules Blakely and Zak Supelak posted respective day one scores of 77-78 and 75-80, each for day one totals of 150. Blakely and Supelak are both tied for 60^th among individual competitors.

The teams will conclude the tournament on Tuesday (Sept. 21) with 18 holes beginning at 8:00 a.m.
