SPRINGBORO, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team wrapped up their two-day stint at the Wright State Invitational on Monday afternoon. The Vikings, who finished the first 36 holes in 10th place, fell to T13 at the conclusion of the tournament.

Overall, the Green and White shot +67 (305-303-311, 919) over the course of 54 holes. Cleveland State tied Robert Morris at 13th, only trailing IUPUI by three strokes for the 12 spot.
Jonny Filler finished at the top of the leaderboard for the Vikings, tying for 29th shooting +14 (74-74-79, 227). The sophomore, who struggled on the front nine on Monday, had a strong finish going one-over-par, securing the top-30 finish. Filler's T29 finish ties a season-best, as the Fort Wayne, Indiana, native sat tied for 29th at the Butler Invitational.
Zak Supelak had an impressive day on the links as the senior jumped up 15 spots on the leaderboard with a round of 73 (+2) on Monday, birdying the fourth and ninth hole. Supelak finished the invitational T41 shooting 17-over (78-79-73, 230). The reigning #HLGOLF Athlete of the Week's round of 73 on Tuesday marked a team best on the day.
Jules Blakely finished next in line for the Green and White, as the senior tied for the 57th spot on the leaderboard. Blakely, who shot a team tournament round low in round two on Monday, finished the two-day tournament with an overall score of 79-72-82, 233 (+20).
Jack Hanus and Zach Robbins round out Cleveland State, as Hanus finished T64 (74-82-79, 235) and Robbins T73 (81-78-80, 239). Both Hanus and Robbins tallied two birdies on the final day of the Wright State Invitational.
Up next for the Vikings golf program is the 2021 Horizon League Championships. The championships are set to take place from April 25-27 at the Brick Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana.
