Vikings Finish Fifth at NKU Collegiate Classic; Host Tournament Next Week at Barrington CC

BATAVIA, Ohio - Cleveland State finished fifth of 11 teams at the NKU Collegiate Classic that concluded on Monday. The Vikings shot a final round 295.

Pat Luth was CSU's top finisher, tying for eighth place with rounds of 70-70-76 (216), while Blake Prince was one shot back at 217 (73-70-74) and tied for 11th place.

Joey Krecic had the low final round for the Vikings, carding a 73, while Anton Krecic, Mitchell Moore and Prince all shot 74 today.

Paul Minko played as an individual, tied for eighth place after rounds of 72-69-75 (216).

Morehead State won the title with a 54-hole total of 859, while Youngstown State (865), Wright State (867), Northern Kentucky (869) and CSU (873) rounded out the top-five.

Dayton was sixth at 874 and was followed by Green Bay (887), Evansville (898), Detroit (907), Stetson (925) and Northern Kentucky "B" (934).

The Vikings return to action on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 5-6) when CSU hosts the 54-hole CSU Invitational at Barrington CC in Aurora, Ohio.
