CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State Athletic Department and men's basketball Head Coach Mike Garland will host the 1st Annual Mike Garland Viking Golf Outing on Friday, August 22 at Fowler's Mill Golf Course. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m., with a shotgun start slated for 1:15 p.m. Dinner and a raffle to benefit the CSU men's basketball program will follow at 6:00 p.m.

Prices range from $100 for just the dinner and raffle up to $1,000, which includes a foursome in the tournament, hole sponsorship and the dinner and raffle.

Located in Chesterland, Fowler's Mill is a Pete Dye course that has been rated the "Best Public Course in Ohio" by several publications.

Garland became the 13th head coach in the program's history on April 17, 2003. He spent the previous seven seasons as an assistant under Tom Izzo at Michigan State.
