Cleveland State vs. Notre Dame College

Kevin Francis

• Came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points, 11 of which came in the first half.

• Led the team in rebounding with a career-high 12 for his first career double-double.

 

J'Nathan Bullock

• Scored in double figures for the second straight game, finishing with 15 points.

• Handed out a career-high 3 assists.

 

Raheem Moss

• Scored in double figures for the first time this season, finishing with 14 points.

• His first half three-pointer allowed him to tie the school record by making at least one three-pointer in 19 straight games going back to early last season.  Moss now shares the record with Jermaine Robinson (3/03 to 1/04) and William Stanley (2/89 to 1/90).

 

Miscellaneous

This was the first meeting between CSU and Notre Dame College, which is located just east of Cleveland in Euclid, Ohio.

• CSU used .621 shooting from the field in the first half (18-29) to build a 47-32 halftime lead.  The Vikings took the lead for good (9-7) on a Kevin Francis field goal with 16:54 left in the first half.

• Notre Dame College would come no closer than 15 in the second half as CSU pulled away midway through the half, leading by as many as 29.

• After making 10 steals in the opener, CSU improved on that total tonight, making 17 thefts and forcing 26 turnovers.  The Vikings led the league averaging 8.2 steals a game last year.

Renard Fields came off the bench to set career highs for points (8) and rebounds (6).  His previous bests were six points (vs. UW-Milwaukee) and five rebounds (at Kent State).

Greg Vlosich saw his first action as a Viking since late in the 2004-05 season, coming back from knee surgery that sidelined hiom for all of last year.

• All 13 Vikings saw action with 11 different players scoring and 11 grabbing at least one rebound.
