"I thought these young men - especially these seniors - went out in style. We talked about leaving a legacy. We had not played well in our last couple of outings at home and we know that no one comes in our house and takes anything from us. People are fickle and they will only remember the ending and won't remember what we did in the past, so we tried to leave a legacy because these seniors won a lot of games."

"We were the best team in this league until the injuries hit us and it took us a while to regroup. People only remember our five losses in a row. Of those five, we could have won three of those games and if we do we are fighting for a championship. Things happen for a reason. Maybe this happened so we can win a championship? That has been our goal all along."

"Jeremy Montgomery and Trevon Harmon are two of the reasons why we are here. As freshmen, they experienced going to the NCAA Tournament so they saw what it takes to be successful. They want to win a championship on their own - they want to say they led guys to a championship."

"This team can win. I've had some great teams in the past and this team, before the injuries, was beating people and it was easy. I don't know what happened - we just got lost. Can we get back to that level? I don't know. You need to be hot, hungry and healthy heading into the tournament and we're missing one of the three (health) but we are hungry. If winning two in a row makes us hot, people better watch out for us."

Senior Forward Aaron Pogue
"I'll remember the coaching staff because they stuck with me when no one else would. I want to thank the coaches for helping me mature as a man and for getting me ready for the real world."

Senior Guard Jeremy Montgomery
"Academics is a real big thing with coach Waters and I want to give coach a lot of honor because he helped me come a long way."

"We go into all games with a defensive mindset. Our offense will come. We got our swagger back and this run is going to be fun."

"Coach told me before the game that I'm a good shooter and he asked why I haven't been shooting well. He said he believed in me and my teammates believed in me so I went out there with confidence and shot the ball."

"I love this program and it taught me a lot. I came a long way and I'm glad I came to Cleveland State. Coach Waters is a father-figure to all of us."

"This league is kind of shaky and you never know what is going to happen. Things worked out for us and we can't look past anyone. We'll take business one day at a time."

"We can't get down on ourselves. We went back to the drawing board after the losing streak and coach kept coming up with new solutions and never stopped believing in us. We just kept playing Cleveland State basketball and focused on defense and we'll continue to do that and hopefully it takes us a long way."
