Final Stats

CLEVELAND (AP) - Theo Dixon scored 22 points and added nine rebounds, as Cleveland State beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee 69-67 Thursday night, putting a snag in the visiting Panthers' run for the regular season title in the Horizon League.

The loss dropped Wisconsin-Milwaukee to 15-11 overall, and 10-4 in the HL for second place behind 11-4 Butler.

Cleveland State shot 61 percent, 27-of-44, and needed the high shooting efficiency because 20 turnovers limited scoring opportunities. They also made less than half of their free throws, 9-of-19.

Dixon was 10-of-14 shooting for the Vikings. Andre Williams scored 15 points and Jamaal Harris added 13.

Clay Tucker scored 17 points and was 4-of-8 on 3-pointers for the Panthers. Adrian Tigert also scored 17 and Ronnie Jones scored all of his 14 points in the second half. Jones was 4-of-7 on his 3-point attempts.

The Panthers were ahead 29-28 at the half. But the Vikings shocked Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a 12-1 run to open the second half. A Williams dunk put Cleveland State ahead 40-30.

Jones made a 3-pointer with 2:31 left that tied the score 64-64. But Harris followed with a score from beyond the arc that put Cleveland State ahead to stay.
