• Scored in double figures for the third time this year, leading CSU with a CSU career high 15 points. (He also had 15 vs. Loyola and Detroit).
• Led the Vikings with a career high with 8 rebounds. His previous best was 7 vs. Indiana (2/14/04) while he was at Purdue.
• Set CSU highs for free throws made (7) and attempted (10). He was 7-of-8 vs. Detroit last week.

Offensive Struggles
• CSU shot under 40-percent from the field for the fourth straight game (and sixth time this year).
• The Viking's .333 field goal percentage was the second-lowest effort of the year (CSU previously shot 23-71, .324 at North Carolina).
• The .188 three-point percentage was the second-lowest total of the year (CSU was 2-15, .133 vs. Loyola).
• The 50 points by CSU was the lowest total of the year and third-lowest in three seasons under Mike Garland. It trailed only the 36 points at Detroit on March 2, 2004 and the 43 vs. Butler (1/29/04).

Miscellaneous
• The loss snapped CSU's two-game winning streak and dropped the Vikings to 6-9. Akron (11-3) won its six straight.
• Akron extended its lead in the all-time series to 34-29, including three straight.
• CSU was eight-of-11 from the field in building a 17-10 lead with 12:31 left but missed 15 straight shots (14 FG, 1 FT) as Akron ran off 17 straight points to pull ahead 27-17. CSU snapped the run on a Ije Nwankwo free throw with 1.5 seconds left.
• CSU had a 39-38 advantage on the board but dropped to 4-2 this year when out-rebounding their opponent.
