Cleveland State Men’s Basketball Signs Isaac Abidde to Letter of Intent

Cleveland, OH-Isaac Abidde is the newest member of the Cleveland State men's basketball program, head coach Daniyal Robinson announced today. Abidde, a 6'8" forward from Albany, Georgia, comes to Cleveland State after playing two seasons at Wichita State. Abidde will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Vikings.

Isaac is a significant addition to Cleveland State because of his maturity, athleticism, and ability to shoot the ball from range. In his two seasons at Wichita State, Abidde appeared in 47 total games making one start. He averaged ten minutes per game and saw an increase of three minutes per game from his freshman to sophomore season. He averaged 2.9 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game over his two seasons.

Last season, Abidde saw action in 27 total games and scored in double figures three times. He shot 43 percent from the floor and 34 percent from three-point range.

Abidde is a 2021 graduate of Westover High School in Georgia, which is about three hours south of Atlanta. He was a first team All-Class 4A selection his senior year after being named honorable mention his junior year in 2020. 

Abidde is joined in his commitment by his parents Pauline and Kenneth Abidde. He has one older brother. Abidde joins Tahj Staveskie as the two newest additions to Cleveland State's 2024 recruiting class.
