Daytona Beach, FL-The Cleveland State men's basketball team is set to make a school record fourth consecutive postseason appearance as the Vikings have been selected to participate in the 2024 Ro College Basketball Invitational (CBI).
This is Cleveland State's second-straight trip to the CBI. The Vikings fell in the opening round last year to Eastern Kentucky in overtime. Cleveland State is the number nine seed and will match up with eighth seed Northern Colorado in the opening round. The game will take place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on Sunday, March 24 at 11:00 a.m.
Cleveland State is set to appear in its third different postseason tournament over the last four seasons. The Vikings appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2021, the NIT in 2022 and the CBI in the last two seasons.
The Vikings secured a third straight 20-win season with a road victory at Youngstown State in the Horizon League Quarterfinals last week. Cleveland State enters the CBI with a 20-14 record.
