Coach Robinson Show Set to Air Live From Viking Public House Tonight

Cleveland, OH-Another episode of the "Coach Robinson Show" is set to air live from Viking Public House on Euclid Avenue in the heart of Cleveland State's downtown campus from 6-7 p.m. Fans can attend the show live in-person or listen on Fox Sports 1350 AM and the iHeartRadio app. Voice of the Vikings Al Pawlowski will host the show live from the restaurant.

Head men's basketball coach Daniyal Robinson kicks off the show recapping a 1-1 week for the Vikings at the Wolstein Center this past week. Cleveland State fell to Milwaukee on Wednesday night before rebounding with an 81-73 win over in-state rival Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon. Cleveland State is 9-7 in Horizon League play and in a three-way tie for fifth place in the league standings headed into this week's action. The Vikings head to Northern Kentucky on Thursday night for the first of two road games scheduled this week. 

In addition, two integral members of the Cleveland State basketball support staff will be featured guests on tonight's show. Associate Head Athletic Trainer Max Benton will join the program to touch on his role as the team's athletic trainer. Benton has over 20 years of athletic training experience on his resume, including 12 years as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Director of Basketball Sports Performance Curt Johnsen will also join the show. Johnsen joined the Cleveland State staff in 2022 and serves as the lead strength and conditioning coach for both the men's and women's basketball program. Johnsen has worked for several universities prior to his stint in Cleveland and is a two-time graduate of the University of Miami(FL). 

Head women's basketball coach Chris Kielsmeier will also join the show to preview the week ahead for the women's basketball program. The women's basketball program is 14-2 in Horizon League play and tied for first place in the league standings. The Vikings will be in action at IUPUI on Wednesday night for the first of two road games this week. 

Fans are encouraged to attend the show live in-person to interact with Cleveland State coaches, student-athletes and athletics staff. Viking Public House offers a number of drink specials starting at 5 p.m. in conjunction with the show. In addition, all restaurant guests receive two hours of free parking when dining at Viking Public House.
