Cleveland, OH-Tristan Enaruna has earned the Horizon League's Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the league office announced today. Enaruna picks up the weekly award for the second time this season, after earning the title for the first time on November 27th. This also marks the second consecutive week that a Cleveland State player has earned the league's player of the week award, after Drew Lowder was recognized last week.
Enaruna registered a career high with 32 points on Thursday night in helping the Vikings to a 90-77 victory over Western Michigan in the final non-conference game of the season. He added 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Enaruna is one of four players in the league with three or more double-doubles.
Enaruna finished 12-of-21 from the field in the game for 57 percent shooting. The 12 made field goals are a new single game best.
He recorded a strong performance at the free throw line finishing 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. Enaruna also had a stellar plus-minus rating of 22, the best of any player in the game.
The Vikings return to the Wolstein Center court on Thursday night, resuming Horizon League play with a matchup against Oakland. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
