Columbus, OH-Seniors Deante Johnson and Deshon Parker have been selected to compete in the second annual Classic for Columbus, a college basketball All-Star Game scheduled for this Saturday, April 22nd at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of Ohio State University.
The Classic for Columbus pits the top players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) against the top college players from universities in the State of Ohio.

Johnson and Parker will both play on the All-Ohio team coached by Jim Cleamons. Cleamons played in the NBA for ten seasons from 1971-1980 and went on to a successful coaching career at both the college and professional level. Eight players from last year's inaugural game went on to play professional basketball following their appearance.
Johnson will suit up in a Viking uniform for the final time following a five-year career in green and white. Johnson finished his career starting every game he played in for the last three seasons. He ranks third all-time in the Cleveland State record book with 157 career blocked shots. Johnson is a three-time member of the Horizon League's All-Defensive team.
Parker also competes for the final time in green and white following a successful college career that included his final two seasons at Cleveland State. Parker scored over 1,000 career points and was named to the Horizon League All-Defensive Team this past season. Parker also earned Honorable Mention All-Academic team honors from the league this season.
