Horizon League Announces Postseason Men’s Basketball Awards

Cleveland, OH-The Horizon League announced its postseason all-conference awards today. Several Cleveland State players earned postseason all-league recognition. Tristan Enaruna earned first-team all-conference honors, and Deshon Parker and Deante Johnson were both named to the all-defensive team.

Enaruna is averaging 17.4 points per game in conference play, which ranks ninth in the league. His average of 6.8 rebounds per game also ranks in the top ten in the conference. He has scored in double figures in 18 straight contests and shoots at a 51 percent clip from the field. This is the first all-league honor for the Junior from the Netherlands in his career.

Johnson earns all-defensive team honors for the third consecutive season. He averages 1.4 blocks per game which ranks third in the league, and his 6.6 rebounds per game also rank in the top ten. Johnson has totaled 27 blocks and 23 steals on the season.

Parker earns all-defensive team honors for the first time in his career. The senior guard ranks in the top 15 in the league with 1.2 steals per contest. Parker also averages 4.3 rebounds per game. Parker has gone toe-to-toe with the league's top players, as he traditionally draws the assignment of guarding the opposing team's best player.

The Vikings enter this week's Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball tournament as the no. 3 seed. CSU finished the regular season at 14-6 overall and will host a quarterfinal matchup in the league tournament on Thursday night against an opponent to be determined.
