Dylan Arnett signs with Men’s Basketball for 2022-23 campaign

CLEVELAND – Cleveland State men's basketball coach Daniyal Robinson continues to fill out his roster with high-end talent as the Vikings announced the addition of high school forward Dylan Arnett to the CSU program for the 2021-22 season, made official on Tuesday.

Arnett comes to Cleveland by way of DePaul College Prep in Chicago. The Chicago native is coming off a stellar senior season that concluded with him being named First Team All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association and earning a 2022 Chicago Sun-Times All-City Third Team selection.

Arnett was also selected First Team All-Catholic League and led his team to a third-place finish at the Class 2A Illinois State Championships.

"We are excited to add Dylan to our roster at this time," Robinson said. "He is a true big with a good skill-set and a high ceiling. Having started playing competitive basketball in the eighth grade, his best basketball is ahead of him. Dylan has received great coaching in high school at DePaul Prep under former McDonald's All-American Tom Kleinschmidt, as well as in AAU for the Illinois Wolves. He led his team to the IHSA 2A State Final 4 as a senior and played high-level AAU competition with the Illinois Wolves in the Under Armour circuit – winning the 2021 Under Armour Association championship. Dylan is a high-character young man with a strong academic background."

Arnett was a significant contributor on his DePaul College Prep squad, one that was ranked No. 1 in the state of Illinois for much of his time playing with the program. A 6-9 forward who can run the floor, Arnett was also named the Chicagoland Prep Hoops Sixth Man of the Year in 2020-21.

He also competed for the Illinois Wolves where he won the Under Armour Association AAU Championships in 2021.

Arnett is the sixth signee of the 2022 class, joining Tristan EnarunaJason "Deuce" DrakeRamar PryorJaMir Price and Tae Williams
