Cleveland State Men’s Basketball Set To Host Milwaukee Sunday Afternoon

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's basketball team will continue its current four-game home stand on Sunday, February 6, welcoming Milwaukee to the Wolstein Center for a 3:00 p.m. contest. Cleveland State enters the game standing at 15-5 overall this season and 11-2 in Horizon League play, while Milwaukee currently owns a 7-16 overall record, including a 5-9 mark in league action.

Sunday's game will be the second of Cleveland State's final four-game home stand of the regular season, with the Vikings owning a 12-2 record inside the Wolstein Center this season.

Last time out, the Vikings were able to get back in the win column, picking up an 85-69 victory over Green Bay to regain first place in the Horizon League standings as the first team to reach 11 #HLMBB wins on the season.

Against the Phoenix, the Vikings recorded 24 assists on 33 made field goals, marking a season-high in assists. Entering Sunday's game, Cleveland State leads the league averaging 16.90 assists per game, as 13 players have recorded at least one assist on the year, including Torrey Patton with 75.

Cleveland State's 24 assists allowed the Vikings to have one of their best offensive performances of the season last time out, as the they shot 63-percent from the floor and 56-percent from behind-the-arc. Over the last six games, Cleveland State has posted a .450 clip or better from the field, and leads the league with a .477 clip on the season.

A large part of Cleveland State's offense came from the bench last time out, as the Vikings held a 40-5 advantage in bench points, including 15 from Jayson Woodrich, who was 4-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point in 15 minutes played.

Sunday's game will mark the first matchup between Cleveland State and Milwaukee this season, with the Panthers entering Sunday's game on a four-game losing skid, with their last win coming in an 88-78 decision against Oakland.
