INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following his first 30-point game of the season at Oklahoma State last time out, Cleveland State men's basketball senior D'Moi Hodge has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor for the Vikings this season.
In Cleveland State's lone game of the week, Hodge posted a season-high 31 points on an 11-for-22 performance from the field against the Cowboys. This marked Hodge's first 30-point game of the season, and the second of his Cleveland State career.
Hodge, who converted four three-pointers on the game, also went 5-for-5 from the free throw line, and was responsible for five of Cleveland State's final eight points over the last 2:03 of regulation, which helped force the game into overtime.
Against the Cowboys, Hodge also added three rebounds and two steals in 35 minutes of action.
For the season, Hodge leads the Vikings and ranks ninth among Horizon League players averaging 14.9 points per game, and has tallied two 20+ point performances so far this season.
