GAME RECAP:
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's basketball team fell to the Toledo Rockets, 70-61, in their season-opener on Tuesday night at Savage Arena.
After giving up the opening basket, freshman guard Alec Oglesby buried his first bucket of his collegiate career, knocking down a three-pointer, assisted by Deante Johnson. Freshman forward Jayson Woodrich followed suit, hitting his first triple of the contest, giving Cleveland State an 8-4 lead with 16:17 left in the half.
The Vikes opened up a double-digit, 27-16, advantage with 6:38 remaining in the first half off of a Woodrich jumper. The freshman from Beachwood, Ohio, connected on his first three shots in his first game as a Viking.
Heading into the intermission of tonight's tilt, Cleveland State held a 35-23 lead.
The Rockets began the second half on an 11-2 run, cutting into their deficit, 37-34, with 15:41 remaining in the second half. The Vikings responded, regaining their double-digit advantage, 44-34, off of Oglesby's second three-pointer of the game.
Ryan Rollins connected on a trey, tying the game for Toledo, 54-54, with 6:32 left on the clock. The Rockets gained a two-point, 60-58, lead at the 3:57 mark of the half. Toledo would hold onto their lead, beating Cleveland State, 70-61.

Cleveland State will travel to Athens, Ohio, to take on the Ohio Bobcats on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. The Vikings' first game at the Wolstein Center is set for Dec. 26 against Horizon League foe Youngstown State.
