Vikings Announce Two Non-Conference Contests

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State Men's Basketball Head Coach Dennis Gates has announced two non-conference games, with the Vikings first traveling to Toledo on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and then to Ohio University on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.

Cleveland State's contest against Toledo will be the 17th meeting all-time, while it will be the 15th time Ohio and CSU has met.

Fans can listen to the Vikings live on 1420-WHK, 102.5 FM and www.whkradio.com, in addition to ESPN digital platforms.

Entering his second season at the helm of the Vikings, the reigning Horizon League Coach of the Year landed the top recruiting class in the league, which ranked 86th-best in the nation, according to Rivals.com. Senior captain Algevon Eichelberger heads into the 2020-21 campaign being named to the Preseason All-Horizon League Second Team, as voted upon by league head coaches, sports information directors and media members.

Cleveland State, in conjunction with the Horizon League, announced its league schedule on Nov. 4. The Vikings will hit the road for their first league series, taking on the newest member of the Horizon League, Robert Morris University, on Dec. 19 and Dec. 20.

The Vikings are exploring other non-conference options for Dec. 12th or 13th and will announce once finalized.
