Vikings Open Little Caesars Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship on Saturday vs. Green Bay

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's basketball team will be the No. 9 seed in the Little Caesars Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship that begins on Saturday at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The Vikings will play a first round game on Saturday (March 5) against fourth-seeded Green Bay at 12:00 pm.

The winner will advance to the second round and play the winner of No. 5 Milwaukee/No. 8 Northern Kentucky at 1:00 pm on Sunday (March 6).

The championship has nine games with the four first round games on Saturday and the two second round games on Sunday being streamed on ESPN3. The semifinals on Monday will be on ESPNU with Monday's championship game on ESPN or ESPN2.

The men's basketball tournament is returning to a single-site format for the first time since 2002.The 2016 and 2017 championships will be held at Joe Louis Arena, while the final three years will be played at the Detroit Events Center, which is currently under construction in downtown Detroit.
