vs. Wright State

GAME PREVIEW:
    •    Cleveland State concludes the regular season when the Vikings host Wright State at 1:00 pm at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday (Feb. 27).
    •    The game will be broadcast live on AM 1220-WHWK with Al Pawlowski providing the play-by-play. He will also have the call on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
    •    The Vikings are 9-21 overall and 4-13 in the Horizon League after a 63-58 win over Northern Kentucky on Thursday (Feb. 25).
    •    Wright State is 18-12 overall and is tied for second place in the Horizon League with Oakland at 12-5. The Raiders earned an 87-81 win at Youngstown State on Thursday night.

THE WRIGHT STATE SERIES:
    •    CSU leads the all-time series with Wright State, 33-32.
    •    The Vikings have won nine of the last 14 contests overall. Wright State won the first meeting this year, 70-53, in Fairborn on Jan. 14.

GAME 30 RECAP - @CSU 63, NORTHERN KY 58 (2/25/16)
    •    CSU opened its final weekend of the regular season with a 63-58 win over Northern Kentucky on Thursday night.
    •    Rob Edwards scored 19 points with five rebounds, while Kenny Carpenter added 15 points and five boards.
    •    Andre Yates finished with nine points and five assists and Jibri Blount and Vinny Zollo scored eight points each.
    •    CSU was without second leading scorer Demonte Flannigan who missed the game with an injury.
    •    The Vikings held NKU to .396 (19-48) shooting and made just nine turnovers.

FOR THREE:
    •    CSU has hit a three-pointer in a school-record 564 consecutive games, spanning 18 seasons.
    •    The last time CSU failed to make a three-pointer was Feb. 21, 1998, when the Vikings were 0-for-8 in a 60-57 win over Detroit.
    •    The Vikings have hit at least three three's in 113 straight games.
    •    A total of 13 different players for CSU have hit a three-pointer this year, the CSU single season record for most players with at least one three-pointer in a season.

SENIOR DAY FOR ZOLLO:
    •    Senior Vinny Zollo, the lone senior on this year's roster, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday.
    •    Zollo joined the CSU program last year after a year at Northwest Florida State and a season at Western Kentucky.
    •    He has started 22 of the 27 games he has played in this year, averaging 7.0 points and ranking 14th in the Horizon League with 5.6 rebounds.
    •    Last year, Zollo averaged 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds as a reserved forward, helping the Vikings to a berth in the CIT.
    •    He scored a career-high 16 points against Detroit on Feb. 4.

BLOUNT RETURNS FROM INJURY:
    •    Freshman Jibri Blount returned to the lineup on Thursday night against Northern Kentucky.
    •    Blount missed the previous three games with an ankle injury.
    •    He played 20 minutes off the bench against NKYU, tallying eight points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
    •    Blount is averaging 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds this year.

EDWARDS AT 28 STARTS:
    •    Rob Edwards has started 28 games this year, tied for the third most by a freshman in CSU history and two shy of moving into a tie for second on the list.
    •    His 928 minutes played this year are the most in a season by a freshman in program history.
    •    Edwards came off the bench for the first two games before starting at Rhode Island (Nov. 21) where he scored 16 points.
    •    Edwards' 28 starts are the most by a CSU freshman since Clinton Ransey started 29 games as a freshman in 1983-84.
    •    The most starts by a CSU freshman in a season is 30 by Shawn Hood in 1983-84.

ALL ABOUT ROB:
    •    Rob Edwards is averaging 30.8 minutes per game. Only two players (Jim Les 32.9 in 1981-82 and James Madison 32.6 in 1996-97) have averaged 30 minutes as freshmen at CSU.
    •    Edwards ranks 18th in the League in scoring (12.2) and 10th in steals (1.2).
    •    Edwards is a two-time Horizon League Freshman of the Week (Nov. 30 & Dec. 21).
    •     Edwards scored a career-high 26 points on Jan. 4 at Detroit, bettering his old career-high of 21 points set against Cedarville (Dec. 29), tying a CSU single game record by hitting 5-of-5 from three-point.

FLANNIGAN DOUBLING UP:
    •    Demonte Flannigan has posted five double-doubles this season.
    •    His first career double-double was a 22 point, 17 rebound effort against Malone (Nov. 17). The 17 boards were the most by a CSU player since Norris Cole had 20 rebounds vs. Youngstown State on Feb. 12, 2011.
    •    Flannigan had 14 points and 10 rebounds against Milwaukee (Jan. 9) for his second double-double of the year.
    •    He had back-to-back double-doubles, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Detroit (Feb. 4) and 19 points and 10 boards vs. Oakland (Feb. 6).
    •    Flannigan's fifth double-double of the season was a 14 point, 11 rebound effort at Milwaukee on Feb. 20.
    •    Flannigan is 10th in the League in blocked shots (1.0), 18th in rebounding (5.3) and 21st in scoring (11.3).

WALK-ON CONTRIBUTIONS:
    •    CSU has received significant contributions from three walk-ons this year.
    •    Nelson Maxwell has played in 14 games, averaging 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
    •    Tim Hasbargen has appeared in 21 games, averaging 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds. He has two double-digit scoring games, including 11 points against Green Bay (Jan. 9) and a career-best nine rebounds vs. Youngstown State (Jan. 24).
    •    Daniel Levitt was averaging 4.5 points and had made 16 three-pointers before injuring his knee late in the second half of the Horizon League opener at Oakland on Jan. 2.

UP NEXT:
    •    The Vikings will open the Horizon League Championship with a first round game on Saturday (March 5) in Detroit, Mich., at Joe Louis Arena.
    •    The tournament bracket will be announced at the conclusion of all regular season games on Sunday.
