vs. Northern Kentucky
GAME PREVIEW:
• Cleveland State hosts Northern Kentucky on Thursday (Feb. 25) at 7:30 pm in the Wolstein Center to begin the final weekend of the regular season.
• The game will be broadcast live on Time Warner Sports Channel with Al Pawlowski providing the play-by-play and Pat Vuyancih serving as the analyst.
• Ed Daugherty will have the call on AM 1220-WHWK and AM 1420-WHKZ.
• It will be a doubleheader with the CSU women hosting UIC at 5:30 pm.
• The Vikings are 8-21 overall and 3-13 in the Horizon League after a 78-61 setback at Green Bay on Monday (Feb. 22).
• Northern Kentucky is 9-18 overall and 5-11 in the League and is coming off a 67-64 loss at Wright State on Saturday (Feb. 20).
THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY SERIES:
• CSU and NKU have met just one time in men's basketball.
• The Vikings won the first-ever meeting earlier this year, 70-65, on Jan. 16 at NKU.
GAME 29 RECAP - @GREEN BAY 78, CSU 61 (2/22/16)
• The Vikings fell at Green Bay, 78-61, on Monday in the final road game of the season.
• Vinny Zollo came off the bench to produce 13 points and eight rebounds, while Rob Edwards, Kenny Carpenter and Andre Yates scored 10 points each.
• Jonathan Janssen added seven points, while Nelson Maxwell finished with six points, three assists and two steals.
FOR THREE:
• CSU has hit a three-pointer in a school-record 563 consecutive games, spanning 18 seasons.
• The last time CSU failed to make a three-pointer was Feb. 21, 1998, when the Vikings were 0-for-8 in a 60-57 win over Detroit.
• The Vikings have hit at least three three's in 112 straight games.
• A total of 13 different players for CSU have hit a three-pointer this year, the CSU single season record for most players with at least one three-pointer in a season.
EDWARDS AT 27 STARTS:
• Rob Edwards has started 27 games this year, tied for the third most by a freshman in CSU history and two shy of moving into a tie for second on the list.
• Edwards came off the bench for the first two games before starting at Rhode Island (Nov. 21) where he scored 16 points.
• Edwards' 27 starts are the most by a CSU freshman since Clinton Ransey started 29 games as a freshman in 1983-84.
• The most starts by a CSU freshman in a season is 30 by Shawn Hood in 1983-84.

FLANNIGAN DOUBLING UP:
• Demonte Flannigan has posted five double-doubles this season.
• His first career double-double was a 22 point, 17 rebound effort against Malone (Nov. 17). The 17 boards were the most by a CSU player since Norris Cole had 20 rebounds vs. Youngstown State on Feb. 12, 2011.
• Flannigan had 14 points and 10 rebounds against Milwaukee (Jan. 9) for his second double-double of the year.
• He had back-to-back double-doubles, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Detroit (Feb. 4) and 19 points and 10 boards vs. Oakland (Feb. 6).
• Flannigan's fifth double-double of the season was a 14 point, 11 rebound effort at Milwaukee on Feb. 20.
• Flannigan is 10th in the League in blocked shots (1.0), 18th in rebounding (5.3) and 21st in scoring (11.3).
FLANNIGAN SCORES CAREER HIGH:
• Demonte Flannigan scored a career-high 30 points in the Feb. 13 win at Youngstown State.
• He made 10-of-13 from the field, including his lone three-point attempt, and all nine of his free throws, including two with 4.3 seconds left to seal the win.
• It was the first 30-point game for a CSU player since Trey Lewis scored 32 points in a victory over Mt. Vernon Nazarene (12/15/14).
SLOAN MAKES FIRST CAREER START:
• Sophomore Derek Sloan received his first career start in against Valparaiso on Feb. 16 and has started the last three games overall.
• Sloan was filling in for Jibri Blount who missed both games with an ankle injury.
• Sloan played a career-high 28 minutes against Valparaiso, finishing with seven points, two rebounds and a steal.
ALL ABOUT ROB:
• Rob Edwards has played 894 minutes this year, just the seventh freshman to play at least 800 minutes in a season in school history.
• Edwards is averaging 30.8 minutes per game. Only two players (Jim Les 32.9 in 1981-82 and James Madison 32.6 in 1996-97) have averaged 30 minutes as freshmen at CSU.
• James Madison (913 minutes in 1996-97) and Bryn Forbes (905 minutes in 2012-13) are the only freshmen in program history to reach 900 minutes played in a season.
• Edwards ranks 18th in the League in scoring (12.0) and 10th in steals (1.1).
• Edwards is a two-time Horizon League Freshman of the Week (Nov. 30 & Dec. 21).
• Edwards scored a career-high 26 points on Jan. 4 at Detroit, bettering his old career-high of 21 points set against Cedarville (Dec. 29) when he tied a CSU single game record by hitting 5-of-5 from three-point.
• He was named to all-tournament team at Cancun Challenge Mayan Division (11/24-25) after totaling 24 points in two games.
WORKING OVERTIME:
• CSU went to overtime for the first time this year on Jan. 30 at UIC, falling 72-70.
• It was CSU's first overtime game since a 66-61 win at Green Bay on Feb. 20, 2015, CSU's third OT game last year (at Savannah State and vs. San Francisco).
• The Vikings are now 44-41 all-time in overtime games.
UP NEXT:
• CSU closes the regular season against Wright State on Saturday (Feb. 27) at 1:00 pm at Quicken Loans Arena.
• It will be a doubleheader with the CSU women's team hosting Valparaiso at 11:00 am.
• The Vikings will open the Horizon League Championship with a first round game on Saturday (March 5) in Detroit, Mich., at Joe Louis Arena.
