CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State had its two-game win streak snapped, falling 62-47 to Bowling Green in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon in the Wolstein Center.

The Vikings fell to 4-8, while the Falcons improved to 8-4 this year.

Andre Yates led the Vikings with 11 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Daniel Levitt scored eight points. Myles Hamilton added seven points and three rebounds and Aaron Scales finished with four points and five rebounds.

Vinny Zollo grabbed eight rebounds, his fifth straight game with at least eight boards.

Zack Denny paced the Falcons with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Spencer Parker added 13 points.

"You can't beat anyone when you shoot 27-percent," head coach Gary Waters said. "We shot the ball well the last three or four games, but we couldn't buy a bucket today. The key is to make this about just one game and not about the rest of the season."

Yates scored the first five points of the game on a three-pointer and jumper, but BGSU answered with 11 straight points to take an 11-5 lead just over six minutes in. CSU battled back to take a 19-17 lead on a Levitt three-pointer with 5:20 left in the half and after four ties over the final five minutes, BGSU took a 27-25 lead at the half on Rasheed Worrell's dunk with 37 seconds to play.

Two free throws from Yates gave CSU its first lead of the second half (34-33) with 13:28 to play, but Ismail Ali converted a layup on the other end and Denny sank two free throws after a CSU intentional foul and followed with a layup to start a 14-2 BGSU run that opened an 11-point lead (47-36) with 5:18 to play.

The Vikings will return to action on Tuesday (Dec. 29) when CSU plays its final non-conference game of the season at 7:00 pm against Cedarville in the Wolstein Center.
