Cleveland State Fencing Concludes Regular Season at NU Winter Duals

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State will head to the Northwestern Winter Duals on Saturday and Sunday for their final tune-up before the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference Championships on February 27.

The Last NU Winter Duals
The Vikings last competed in the NU Duals in 2020 with both teams posting 1-5 records. The women's lone victory came over Fairleigh Dickinson (20-5) while three of their losses were against teams in the national rankings. The epee unit led the way for the CSU women with 26 victories.

The men's only win came against Incarnate Word (18-9) while all their losses came to teams ranked in the poll. The epee unit led the way with 20 wins and foil was close behind with 19.

Last Time Out
Cleveland State men's and women's fencing combined for eight wins at the DeCicco Duals last weekend. Both the men's and women's victories came against Florida, Wayne State, Lawrence, and Detroit Mercy.
