A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

CROSS COUNTRY
• The Vikings return to action at the Detroit Titan Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 12) with the race slated to start at 11:15 am.
• CSU opened the season at the Mel Brodt Invitational on Friday. Samantha Butterbaugh finished in 21st place with a personal-best 5K time of 19:05, while Ashlyn Woods finished 23rd in a time of 19:29.

MEN’S GOLF
• CSU concludes play in the Turning Stone Intercollegiate with the final 18 holes on Monday.
• The Vikings enter the final round in third place in the 15 team field after carding rounds of 293 and 290 on Sunday.
• Joey Krecic opened the event with a four-under-par 68 and shot even-par 72 in the second round. Paul Minko carded rounds of 71-74, while Mitchell Moore shot 78-70 on Sunday.

WOMEN’S GOLF
• The Vikings are out of action until CSU competes in the Ball State Invitational on Sept. 22-23.
• CSU opened the fall season by tying for second place at the YSU Kickoff on Monday.
• Allyson Hackman finished third overall with rounds of 76-73, while Hannah Bennie placed fourth, carding rounds of 73-77.

MEN’S SOCCER
• CSU (0-3) heads to Pittsburgh, Pa., for two matches in the Duquesne Invitational this weekend, playing Cornell at 4:00 pm on Friday (Sep. 11) and Duquesne on Sunday (Sep. 13) at 3:00 pm.
• The Vikings dropped a pair of road matches last week, falling at Dayton, 4-1, on Wednesday and dropping a 3-0 match at Bowling Green on Sunday.
• Freshman Antonio Burgoa netted her first career collegiate goal in the setback at Dayton.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
• CSU (3-3-1) returns home for the first time in five games when CSU hosts Canisius on Friday (Sept. 11) at 7:00 pm. The Vikings will also play at Kent State at 1:00 pm on Sunday (Sept. 13).
• The Vikings dropped all three of their matches last week, falling at Akron (4-2), to Cornell (3-0) and at St. Bonaventure (3-2).
• Allie Sieradzki scored a goal in the loss at Akron and netted both goals at St. Bonaventure. She leads the team with eight points this year.

VOLLEYBALL
• The Vikings (6-2) continue its early season tournament slate with three matches at the Dayton Invitational this weekend.
• CSU plays Eastern Illinois at 4:00 pm on Friday (Sept. 11) and will square off with Baylor at 1:00 pm and host Dayton at 7:00 pm on Saturday (Sept. 12).
• The Vikings went 2-1 at the CSU Invitational over the weekend, finishing as the runner-up. CSU topped Central Michigan (3-1) and Binghamton (3-0) and fell to Cincinnati (3-1).
• Grace Kauth was named to the All-Tournament Team for the second straight week, earning the honor after combining for 39 kills (3.55 per set) and 25 digs (2.27) on the weekend.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Allyson Hackman, Women’s Golf, Senior, Brownstown, Ohio

Hackman, the CSU career leader in scoring average helped CSU to a runner-up finish at the season opening YSU Kickoff on Monday, placing for third place overall in the individual standings. Hackman opened the tournament with a 76 and followed that with a one-over-par 73, finishing the 36 hole event with a 149 total.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Grace Kauth: The volleyball junior was named to the CSU All-Tournament team after totaling 39 kills and 25 digs, helping CSU win two of its three matches.

Joey Krecic: The men’s golf sophomore carded a career-low 68 - four-under-par - in the first round of the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.

Allie Sieradzki: The women’s soccer senior scored both of CSU’s goals in Sunday’s 3-2 loss at St. Bonaventure and leads the team with eight points this year.
