INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its 2024 Soring Academic Honor Roll Thursday, with 126 Cleveland State University student-athletes earning a spot on the list.
COMPLETE HORIZON LEAGUE RELEASE
Women's soccer led the way for the Vikings, placing 23 student-athletes on the Horizon League Honor Roll, while volleyball, cross country/track & field and women's swim & dive each placed 13 student-athletes on their respective honor roll teams.
Cleveland State led the way among Horizon League teams in volleyball, while men's tennis (8) and women's tennis (6) were both tied for the most representatives, and women's soccer and men's swim & dive (12) ranked second among league teams.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participation in at least one of the league's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season; 2) completion of three semesters as a full-time student at the member institution; 3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20.
In addition, a total of 70 student-athletes from Cleveland State's non-Horizon League sports met this criteria: lacrosse – 32, wrestling – 17, esports – 10, men's fencing – 6, women's fencing – 5.
