A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics…

Women's Tennis
-The Vikings will enter #HLTennis Tournament play as the No. 1 seed, beginning their quest for the program's first-ever tournament title with a semifinal contest on Saturday, April 27.
-Cleveland State captured a share of the regular season title and the top seed after finishing Horizon League play with a 5-1 record. 
-The Vikings enter tournament play with a 13-9 overall record and have won three straight matches.  

Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will begin #HLTennis Tournament play with a semifinal contest on Saturday, April 27, entering the weekend as the No. 1 seed in the North Division. 
-The Vikings earned the top seed in the North Division after finishing regular season play with a perfect 8-0 league record.
-Cleveland State enters tournament play on an 11-match win streak, owning a 19-6 record on the year.  

Lacrosse
-Cleveland State will close out regular season play on Saturday, April 27, traveling to Detroit Mercy. 
-Last time out, the Vikings dropped their final home game to Utah by a score of 16-7.
-Wyatt Robertson led the offense with two goals, while Connor Kernan made 18 saves, tying for the fifth most in a game.  

Track & Field
-Cleveland State will have its final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships this week, participating in the Ashland Alumni Open on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. 
-Last time out the Vikings had a strong showing at the Sparky Adams Invitational, paced by program records from Grace Frye (Javelin, Hammer, Shot Put) and Natalie Keller (5000). 

Softball
-Cleveland State returns home for four games this week, hosting Kent State in a midweek non-league game on Tuesday, April 23 and Youngstown State in a three-game series on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26. 
-Last time out, the Vikings picked up a 6-2 victory at RMU in the series finale. 
-Entering the weekend, Brooke Albaugh leads the league with 14 doubles on the year, while Melissa Holzopfel ranks second with 128 strikeouts. 

Men's Golf
-The Vikings closed out the spring slate last weekend, placing seventh as a team at the Horizon League Championships. 
-Mason Frazier paced the Vikings with a 16th place individual finish, posting rounds of 73-74-77. 

Women's Golf
-Cleveland State wrapped up its spring slate at the #HLGolf Championships last time out, finishing seventh as a team.
-Kaitlin Kormuth was the highest Viking finisher, placing T-16 with rounds of 84-84-78. 

Viking Of The Week Nominations
Grace Frye, Track & Field
Won all four events she competed in at the Sparky Adams Invitational, including setting program records in the Javelin, Hammer and Shot Put.  

Cole Chappell, Men's Tennis
Picked up a straight-set win at No. 6 singles to clinch the win against Youngstown State, capping off a perfect 8-0 #HLTennis regular season slate. 

Filippa Frogner, Women's Tennis
Picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles and a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles, helping the Vikings earn a 6-1 win at Oakland to close out regular season play.
